How Is A Post Born?

It’s a question I get asked by many up and coming bloggers.Of course me being the kind of person I am, you know always willing to lend a helping hand and offer my expertise. I never stray away from this question unlike some others in the blogging world.You see a post should not be forced out but should flow out naturally .Now what I do when I am working on a post is I have a note book that I use to write my points down in POINT form.Yes just jot down some points about whatever topic you are going to post about.The key is to keep it in point form just get down the points you want to make.My next step is to open a new text document on your desktop(right click anywhere on your desktop screen) give it a short little title,look at the points you have,figure out where you want to start then start typing.Don’t worry about any spelling mistakes and turn off anything that could be distracting(tv,phone,music,social media sites) just keep going,I usually keep my web browser open(not for social media purposes) in case I need to get online to find some info relevant to my post.After you have finished give it a quick look over but don’t edit it yet,save that for later.What I do now is usually take a break(a few hours) from the computer do family things then come back to my rough draft and look it over.While reading it over what I do is take out any of the extra fluff that is not relevant to your post(you will be able to tell) and what I do is I write this stuff down in my book for maybe a future post.My next step and you don’t have to do this but I copy and paste my rough draft into my new post area on my blog then hit spell check.Once I have corrected the spelling errors then I check for punctuation.I by all means am not the best at punctuation but I am still learning so just do the best you can with that.So there it is, also i carry a little note pad around with me(I know it seems crazy)just in case something hits me that I want to write about I put it down in my note book then work on it when I get the chance.Don’t worry about what people might say, you’re a writer you can’t worry about stuff like that you need to focus on the writting.That my friends is how a post is born.Now go and create!

I’m Hooked On Twitter….Here Is Why!!

This may come as no surprise to the regular followers of this blog but I am a Twitterholic.Yes,there I admitted it,it’s now out in the open and maybe I can try to get on and be more productive in my life(although I doubt Twitter is holding me back that much).I have admittedly never taken to a social media platform like I have with Twitter.Even when Facebook first hit the scene I thought it was a pretty cool idea, so of course I jumped right in got an account and looked for family members and long lost high school buddies.Now I don’t know if any readers of this blog had the same experience with Facebook as I had?But I found it boring.I mean really boring.It seemed to me like it was more of a long winded up date sight of people on your friend’s list who actually never really talked to you. You would go through the trouble of looking them up and send a “hey I haven’t seen you in years how are you doing?”message. They would reply with a little blurb about what they have been up to since that last time you seen them at so and so’s party,then that was it.They would probably never send you a direct message again.It would be just a bunch of annoying long ass ” i’m so in love I can’t live without Jen,she makes me so happy we spent the day just staring into each others eyes while holding hands on a cold rainy day it was the way we connected it was magical” anyway you get my point, I hope.Also Facebook became to over run with these annoying take the music challenge or the sex quiz or someone would start a food fight with you.I mean a food fight,really?i thought this was a social media site?That was really the breaking point for me with facebook.It was all that other crazy stuff that was added to the site I think for no reason. Twitter of course the opposite.In fact I find the updates on Twitter better because if you follow the right people or the right businesses you can get links to web articles with great tips on just about anything.With Twitter you have 140 character limit so people have to get right to the point.No more long winded stories.Also following the right businesses can get you discounts on Twitter.The key of course is to follow the right people.With Twitter you don’t even have to personally know any of the people you choose to follow,which is what makes Twitter fun.With this option most people choose to follow celebs which is cool I get it but chances are they will never follow you back or even answer a Tweet question you send them.If your joining Twitter to connect with or make friends with a celebrity don’t bother,your wasting you time.Sorry to crush your dreams of becoming good friends with Ashton Kutcher he has 3.8 million followers so chances are he won’t notice you following him or even pay attention if you asked him a question.But hey if you feel the need to try don’t let me stop you.So to sum it all up Twitter for me is great because I find some really good info on there,the updates are capped at 140 characters and of course you can follow your favorite celebrity provided they have a Twitter account,sorry Miley Cyrus not included anymore.

I Will Change The Picture Don’t Worry!

I know what some of my loyal readers are thinking,that is why the hell did he change the blog theme to this?Again no offence to the person who designed the theme but the picture does not do it justice. So I have decided that the picture needs to go.Now the bigger decision comes,what picture would fit the blog best?? Ahh,but the thing about this blog is that,well there is really no way to describe this blog and there probably is not a picture anywhere on the web that would fit this blog.So the challenge for this blogger(and my readers) is to get something on here to apse the teeming masses of readers that flock to this blog for the info they crave.To my readers if you can think of a picture or maybe you have one that might fit the blog,let me know and I will see if it is the right one because as you know this blog is well……you know.

Blogging Is Not Easy So Quit!

Hopefully the title somehow caught your attention.Now when I made the decision to devote my time to the blog I knew it was not going to be easy.I made the mistake of complaining to my wife that I was feeling a little tired this week and of course she pointed out the fact that I have spent some late nights working on material for the blog.You see for the new bloggers reading this it’s not just about coming up with a post here or there or posting on your blog and then thats it for the day.No,no,no,my friends I work on several post a night.I create one post,post it, then work on a rough draft for the next and so on.Now getting back to me being tired my wife tells me “well maybe you should quit doing the blog” I told her”there is no way I can let my readers or my devoted 45(up 2 from my last post) Twitter followers down”. She says “but your tired at work all the time and besides you don’t even get paid for blogging”. I told her “you know it’s not about the money obviously or I would have quit after my second post”. “Well whats it about” she asked? “You know my dear” I said “its about connections and being able to write about what I want to write about”. To me that is what blogging is all about.You get to make connections from people who post comments regularly on your blog and you get to talk about whatever you feel like.The one mistake and its a huge mistake believe me I have seen is trying to get into the blogging game to make money.Now if your a business owner than I think blogging is an important aspect of your business,but for the regular person trying to go it alone thinking they can make money…..wrong! I will save you the disappointment if your not blogging because you feel like you need to express yourself somehow or you have something you love to talk about on a regular basis then I am telling you now QUIT! I know it sounds harsh but it’s the truth of course unless you have a good writing partner then keep going.One of the big problems and I think its the biggest for the new blogger to over come feeling like your writing for no reason.Your blog is new so you have no readers,no comments no traffic so after about four or five post you feel like packing it in cause nobody is reading what you have to say.If you have that feeling all I can say is well….pack it in. I’m not going to come on here and say keep plugging away at it you”ll get there.No thats the wrong advice.Why?Because if you feel like your wasting your time blogging then you probably are so I would just quit.Thats why when you decide to get into blogging it has to be done because you want to or feel like you need to write about something that you like or love.I stay up late and work on rough drafts of upcoming post and make myself tired for my “real job” because I want to, not because I feel I have to.Hey if I could get paid to do this(advertisers please) then great, but if not thats just as well to because knowing my readers and devoted Twitter followers are looking on then thats all this blogger needs.Now let me stress if you wanna advertise here or pay me to do this well I wouldn’t turn it down just so you know(I’m talking to you big companies).If there is one thing I have learnt in life is never close the door because it could be a bitch to get open again!

Are We The Common People Not Important?

A thought occurred to me just about an hour ago while I was cruising Twitter to figure out the next celeb I should follow.Now me being the type of person I am always looking out for my readers and my devoted Twitter followers(up 3 this week to 43) and as I was searching the celeb Twitter scene I noticed that all the celebs have a check mark and the word verified on their account. So it made me wonder why people like us just regular people didn’t need to have any proof of who we actually are?.I mean anyone if they wanted to could use my name or your name.I did test this out incase you are wondering and I went to Twitter used my real name again and signed up.To me this makes me feel less important for some reason,it says to me just because you are not famous we don’t want to bother checking to see if you are who you say you are. I know we are not as important as the celebs in the world,our tweets aren’t nearly as important or funny or useful as theirs but dammit we are people just like them!!Just because they have millions of followers and I have 43 is my,our identity still not worth some sort of protection against the people who could destroy it stealing our precious followers!Maybe thats where all of my followers are now?Surely I am more popular than my 43 followers would indicate! Maybe somebody is all ready using my name?? Unfortunately for me it’s not so,I checked there is only me on Twitter once.Alas their is no big conspiracy to steal my followers,so I really am as popular as my 43 followers would indicate which is not very. I will keep trying though and when I hit the 1 millionth follower maybe then Twitter will put that special little check mark along with the word verified and then I will know I have made it!

Miley Think It Over……..Please!!

Ok as you well know or maybe you don’t the big news of the last hour or so is of course Miley Cyrus pulling the pin on her Twitter account. Now I apologize as I tried to break this story few hours ago which would have been breaking news at the time but I was slow editing this post.I know I let the many readers of this blog down as they come to this blog for the latest breaking news,which I try to put up as quick as I can so in future I will try to edit faster.Now back to the matter at hand which is why would Miley delete her Twitter account? Why would she let down her 2.1 million Twitter followers?Why would she give up here number 13 ranking according to Twitterholic rankings? I mean she was closing in on the number 12 spot held by Demi Moore. Why would she just quit it all just like that? I can only DREAM of having that many Twitter followers or even 1% of that. I went to her website to try to get some answers for the fans of hers that read this blog.I got nothing since it is a fan club type website I didn’t really want to pay to join and it probably would not tell me what I wanted to find out anyway. So to the Miley fans that read this blog, I got nothing but I am sure she has a good reason for letting her 2 million plus Twitter followers down. Miley fans keep hope alive as I am sure she will realize the mistake she made and will come back to you!

TLC Gets It Wrong!

Well here i go again doing my best to help straighten things out as usual. As we all know the highly publicized Jon and Kate debacle has caught the eye of just about everyone,of course this is not by choice due to the fact that it is plastered just about everywhere you look.So I am sitting here thinking about what world or entertainment events I can weigh in on or even help out with figuring Jon&Kate to be the logical choice. Now we have all heard in the last day or so how good ol Jon being the great family man he has been lately drained the family bank account of more than $220 grand leaving is all most ex wife(divorce has not been finalized yet) and 8 kids with a mere $1000 dollars.Now most people would feel bad and don’t get me wrong I do feel bad but I also have an obligation to my many followers to keep them entertained, most of who are caught up in this watching the daily occurences of this mess.Anyway to get back on to topic I figured that I would write the TLC channel(on behalf of said followers) and pitch the idea of maybe canning the Kate plus 8 show and going with something along the lines of Kate punches Jon and the 8 pick him up off the floor.The idea of the show would be less focused on her raising the kids but more about her and Jon going head to head in a court room battle or even when he comes to pick up the kids for his weekend with them.You see most people not all and definitely not me like this kind of stuff.People want to see this thing get ugly,we don’t care about what the kids are eating for breakfast or any of that other boring stuff,we want the dirty name calling,the pointing the figure at each other bit and of course the who can drain the bank account faster bit.Thats what people want to see!Why you ask?They way I look at it is if we see people who looked like they had it all at one time,great marriage,kids,money and a t.v show and that all falls apart we seem to feel better about ourselves.It’s just the way society is.We love when people in the lime light fall flat on their face and the higher the profile of that person the better for us,the nastier the situation the better for us.Its not pretty but its the way we are.You can try to fight it,change it or ignore it, but it won’t change.So to TLC if you want the ratings you know what you need to do.You need to drop the Kate+8 show and give the people what they want!The fighting and the court room battles thats what they want!Not this other stuff your trying to push,give it up!Kate+ 8…..please give me a break!

Celebs Be More Careful Please!

Just wanted to give a little warning to celebs about affairs.Now keep in mind this comes from the heart as I know some people love to take shots at celebs but thats not the way this blogger rolls.No folks I am statesmen, so I always take the higher road as I figure someday good karma will come my way for this choice.Now this whole David Letterman affair thing has got me kind of concerned about celebrities.I had always thought that the celebs we have grown to know and love would take better precautions when having affairs.I sometimes worry that they forget who they are in societies eyes, they are not regular people like you or I.Quiet the opposite actually,they are much more important to the world then you or i are,which is why it makes me so mad when they slip up like David Letterman did. I only have to ask why would he think this would not come out eventually? Mr.Letterman did you forgot during in these heated affairs that you are one of the most well known figures on television only second to Larry King? I mean please you need to take better precautions when you decided to engage a young intern into a torrid love affair.Don’t take them up stairs to that room you have in the ED Sullivan theater where you “go to rest“ and for god sake do go out to the movies or dinner with them.Don`t you think people will notice you? You are worth millions you can come up with something better than that. I mean fly out of the country on separate planes or something you have the money,but be more discreate.So to any other of the celebs reading this blog and thinking of starting an affair please be careful.Get creative in coming up with places to take your new fling,not the movies or dinner and for the love of god dont take them upstairs where you work. So please to any celebrities reading this BE MORE CAREFUL you’re a celebrity not a regular person,have you forgotten that people are watching your every move(TMZ)

This Blog looks Like Crap,Here is Why!

I thought I would give a little insight to some of the new readers of this blog as to why the blog looks well,just so crappy.Now I don’t mean to disrespect the designer of this template but it really doesn’t do the blog justice.The main reason for the generic look would be well, first off my lack of funds.Yes I don’t have the extra money to pay a designer to come up with a new design for this blog.As you can see the advertising dollars are not rolling in.Also the fact that I am using the free WordPress site would be another clue as to the lack of funds.The lack of any knowledge of HTML or CSS is not helping this blog either and even if I did have the slightest clue about this stuff again the lack of funds would prevent me from up grading to a custom CSS package.So what I thought could happen was maybe find a Web Desinger who would be willing to give up some time to do like an extreme makeover blog edition.We would run it like the show and have people send in their stories of why we should makeover their blog and the stories would be judge by me of course and i would decided the winner by just how much i like that particular persons story.Now your story doesn’t have to be a sappy one or heart breaking one like on the show,no,no,no my friends this story has to have a zest to it.You have got to explain why you think your blog would be the next big thing with a makeover.You have to tell me why your blog would be bigger then the likes of Perez Hilton,TMZ or Huffington post.So I will work on finding a willing designer as I am sure i can find one in my 40(previously 38) Twitter followers who would like to donate some of their time.Of course this would be the first blog to be made over as I cannot run such a web spectacle with this type of blog look.I will keep you all posted as to the progress, mean while work on your stories!

Time Not Wasted Here……I Promise!

As I mentioned in my previous post,which happens to be my first post,well sort of. I did originally have what would be 15 posts(this one included) but I decided that they needed to go.Even though it would have been nice to have a few post on here I just couldn’t keep them.I mean I know this blog has no direction and the previous post had no direction so I guess by all counts I could have just left them,but me being the nonsensical person that I am I decided to axe them, not literally of course because this is a computer but metaphorically speaking they were axed.This post was created to inform you new visitors that the first post is not really the first post but the 14th post, this being the 15th and the second post all at once.I felt I needed to inform any new visitors(talking to my loyal readers now) who may have stumbled onto this blog and wondered why I mentioned in the 1st(14th)post that i decided to stop writing to perfect my craft when they would only see 1 post(2 including this 1) on here and not the previous 13 posts I was talking about when I decided to revamp the blog which was mentioned in the 1st(14th)post.So before there is any more confusion(my self included) I will end this 2nd(15th for old readers)post by saying,to any new visitors I do know what I am talking about. I actually have 15 posts of blogging experience which in this business would qualify me as somewhere between a beginner and pro blogger, so don’t worry your time won’t be wasted here!
